Arrival To Paro Airport and transfer to Thimpu

After clearing immigration and customs at Paro International Airport., you'll meet your guide and driver and embark on a scenic journey to Thimphu, the charming capital city. As you travel through the stunning countryside, you'll be captivated by the traditional Bhutanese architecture of houses and buildings.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, savor an authentic Bhutanese lunch to fuel your exploration. Spend the rest of the day discovering the city's cultural treasures. Visit the iconic National Memorial Chorten, a prominent landmark and spiritual center. Explore the Royal Textile Academy (closed on Sundays and public holidays) to learn about Bhutan's rich textile heritage. And don't miss the opportunity to see the unique Takin, Bhutan's national animal, at the Takin Preserve.

Day- 02

Exploring the Cultural Heart of Thimphu

Today, you'll delve deeper into Thimphu's rich cultural tapestry. Begin your day with a visit to the majestic Buddha Dordenma statue, a colossal bronze and gold statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. For the adventurous, a hike through the Kuenselphodrang Nature Park offers stunning panoramic views of the valley. In the afternoon, explore the historic Trashichho Dzong, the imposing fortress-monastery that houses the Bhutanese government's administrative offices.

Day- 03

Journey to the Enchanting Phobjikha Valley

Today, you'll embark on a scenic drive eastward towards the serene Phobjikha Valley. Along the way, you'll encounter several fascinating sights.

First, you'll pass the historic Semtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan, which now serves as a monastery. As you ascend the Dochula Pass, you'll be greeted by a breathtaking panorama of the Eastern Himalayas. On a clear day, you might even spot snow-capped peaks. Admire the 108 memorial chortens, built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers who lost their lives in a conflict.

As you continue your journey, you'll catch a glimpse of Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and the unique cacti that adorn the hillside. You'll also pass through the ancient village of Rinchengang, known for its skilled craftsmen who have contributed to the construction of many Dzongs and Lhakhangs.

Finally, you'll arrive at the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, a glacial valley renowned for its stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife. This valley is particularly famous as the winter home of the rare Black-necked Crane, which migrates from Tibet. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as muntjaks, wild boar, sambar, Himalayan black bears, leopards, and red foxes.

Explore the  wonders of Phobjikha Valley. Begin your day with a visit to the Black-Necked Crane Information Center, where you'll learn about these magnificent birds and the efforts to protect them.

Next, explore the sacred Gangtey Monastery, a serene Buddhist retreat nestled amidst stunning natural surroundings. Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Gangtey village, experiencing the simple charm of rural Bhutan.

Alternatively, relax and rejuvenate at your hotel, indulging in spa treatments and savoring delicious local cuisine.

Day- 05

A Day in the Heart of Phobjikha

Explore the  wonders of Phobjikha Valley. Next  drive to Punakha, Bhutan's former capital. This lower-altitude valley offers a warmer climate compared to other regions. After lunch, explore the Punakha Valley, visiting a local nunnery and the traditional villages of Nobgang and Talo. Nobgang, once home to the four queens of the fourth king, offers a glimpse into Bhutan's royal history. Talo, with its serene monastery and beautiful gardens, provides a tranquil escape. As the day concludes, check into the luxurious resort at Punakha. Relax in your room, or indulge in spa treatments, and savor delicious cuisine at the resort's fine dining restaurant. Most famous Bhutan's longest suspension bridge, This impressive fortress-monastery, once the winter seat of the government, is a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture and engineering.

After exploring the Dzong, visit Kaja Throm, a bustling market where you can experience the local lifestyle and purchase fresh produce. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, embark on a rewarding hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten. As you trek through picturesque landscapes of rice paddies and quaint villages, you'll reach this sacred monument, dedicated to the well-being of the current King of Bhutan. Return to Punakha Resort, where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the stunning views of the Eastern Himalayas.

Day- 06

Day of departure.

Depending on your flight departure flight time you will either have an early transfer to Paro Airport OR you can enjoy a morning excursion to Chele La pass (not possible in winter) at 4000m complete your lunch at  Paro and then transfer to Paro airport.
