After an early breakfast, embark on a day of sightseeing around Kathmandu. Start by visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu shrine located 5 kilometers from the city center. Next, visit the Boudhanath Stupa, an iconic Buddhist site known for its massive dome and spiritual significance. The tour continues with a visit to the Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple), perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Finally, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic heart of the city and home to many ancient temples, palaces, and courtyards, once the seat of Nepalese royalty. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and set off for Chitwan National Park, which is about a 4-5 hour drive covering a distance of approximately 190 kilometers. Once you arrive in Chitwan, check in to your accommodation and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a Tharu Village Tour to learn about the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Tharu community. Visit the Tharu Museum, which showcases the tools, utensils, and attire used by this indigenous group. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance followed by dinner. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by an exciting elephant-back safari through the Chitwan jungle. This safari offers a close encounter with wildlife in their natural habitat. After the safari, check out and begin your journey to Pokhara, a scenic drive of about 4-5 hours covering 170 kilometers. Upon arrival in Pokhara, known for its stunning lakes and views of the Himalayas, check in to your hotel. You’ll have the evening free to explore at your own pace. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Wake up early and set out for Sarangkot Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain ranges. After the sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast. Spend the rest of the day exploring Pokhara’s famous landmarks, including Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Bindhyabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, and Tal Barahi Temple. Following breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey back to Kathmandu. Along the way, stop at Manakamana Temple, where you can take a cable car ride up the hill to the temple for darshan (cable car tickets are at your own cost). After the temple visit, continue driving for approximately 230 kilometers (about 5 hours) until you reach Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The evening is free for you to explore Thamel, a popular shopping district, or try your luck at one of the city's casinos. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
On your final day, start early with a trip to Nagarkot to witness a stunning sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear days, you may even be able to spot Mount Everest. After the sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast. If time allows, take a short visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known for its rich history and architecture. Finally, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) or the Kathmandu Bus Terminus (Kalanki) for your onward journey, marking the end of your Nepal adventure.
